Decisions about the application

It did the best version of the course I could find and I liked the turotial and collegiate approach. academically stretching

Only Oxford offer Human Sciences

i loved it! lovely buildings, gd accomodation, close 2 the science area + other buildings i need, central, friendly ppl, rich, tutors specialised in the favourite aspects of my course...

one mock interview that was really a chat with my head of 6th form... no help

Be open minded!! Be prepared to be asked things you don’t have a clue about, just think about how u can apply what u know to a different situation. Don’t be afraid to say u don’t know. Always think outside the box for things. Argue back... I argued quite a lot it's good.

my psychology coursework cuz was relevant, and i had it finished and a biological essay on the human genome, again it was relevant and allowed me to show all my skills, eg argue explain...

i had 2 at johns, one at catz (who offered me) and one with the human sciences admission panel. the 1st one was just a intellectual chat, i had to analyse a grpah, and it was ok. the 2nd was challenging, lots of leading questions to help you work out answers you don’t know. Lots of ethic type ones at ctaz which were hard, and the panel was awful! There were 3 top profs interviewing me and 3 sat behind a bookcase taking notes.

*how would u carry out an anthropological study into wedding cakes *do u think its ethical to impose out westernised culture on nepal *where do diseases come from *what causes mental illness *wats the difference between sociology and social anthropology *(tips a load of shells on the table) wat would u want to know about these *whats a species*whats wrong wit saying ppl are normal (i dropped myself in that)

knee length grey skirt + a smart top for a couple and then a cord skirt n smart top. its wat i normally wear to 6th form so i was ok - just dress semi formal, lads wear shirts.

st johns i loved, friednly, catz was friendly but looked very cold

huge room, a living room and a bedroom,

very friendly, doing your best to help
