Decisions about the application

For the science based course and the prestigious name.

Cambridge is prettier

I chose it on the advice of a teacher.

Yes. Lots. Things taught at Oxbridge classes really helped.

Understand from first principles all of the nitty gritty science. Just knowing the A2 syllabus isn't enough.

Bloody MVAT. This was very painful and slightly traumatic. I would adivse asking for past papers from the college or the faculty and practice logical reasoning with things such as mensa or IQ tests.

I had 2 interviews. First one was not too bad. The interviewer was a doctor and she put me at ease. The second interview was with a professor and a graduate tutor. This was relatively painful as they asked some difficult questions.

What had i seen on my work experience. The workings of the kidney. How to go about with a scientific investigation. How would i go about verifying that a patient had kidney problems. How many distinct codons can be made if each codon is 2 bases long? What are the sense and non-sense lengths of DNA called? How is a protein synthesised? Why does prgrammed cell death occur? To this question i gave an answer, but he kept saying "yes, but why?" over and over again.

Quite nice

The room i stayed in was better than my room at home. It's quite big and new.

Didn't see any.

Really ladidah

Final stage

Quite pleased.

Looking back

I don't know. It was relatively painful. Friends who have applied to oxbridge and were successful all enjoyed their interviews. Not me.

Prepare for the MVAT and also prepare for the MVAT. And furthermore, prepare for the MVAT. And it's also important to prepare for the MVAT.
